N.C. Representative David Guice has started a petition for the Choose Life License Plate. His goal is 2,000 signatures. We need thousands of signatures. Please pass this information on to your e-mail lists ASAP.
Rep. Gillespie, the primary sponsor of this bill, indicates that despite all of the requests, Speaker Hackney has not allowed this bill to be placed on the committee calendar for a hearing. The link below is putting up a petition -due to go on-line at 2:00 p.m. this afternoon, May 6, 2009 – for people to sign. Upon the receipt of 2,000 signatures, they will present it to the Speaker for leverage in getting a committee hearing.
Unfortunately, this is the way North Carolina government will continue working until we elect representatives and senators who understand that they work for all of the people of North Carolina. Rep.
